About

What began as a career shift quickly became a masterclass in resilience. One BJJ Blue Belt, countless hours in boxing gloves, and many long nights at the command line later, I’ve found my alignment. Whether it’s the adrenaline of cracking a CTF challenge or the split-second decision-making required in the ring, the core requirement is the same: the ability to navigate discomfort and maintain focus under pressure.

The Technical Path & The “Why”

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Cybersecurity with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and the emerging architecture of ISO 42001. This path is a natural fit for my background in communications. I’ve found that the world’s most significant challenges – including existential risks and the rapid development of AI – are often buried in dense, dry, and complex frameworks. I am action-oriented and dedicated to making these frameworks actionable, ensuring that AI is deployed with the clarity and safety the landscape demands.

My mission is to act as a translator: taking those high-stakes global risks and distilling them into clear, actionable narratives that organisations can actually use to build a safer future.

The Physical Lab

In the ring, forgetting to move your head off the centre line has an immediate cost. On the mat, navigating the discomfort of Jiu-Jitsu has been a profound test of mental fortitude – a way to build the “stomach” required to look at complex problems without flinching. Finding a foothold in cybersecurity has required the same degree of persistence as training martial arts. At first it is overwhelming, there’s so much information and conflicting advice, and then, gradually things begin to make sense and the building blocks start stacking up.

These experiences aren’t separate from my work; they are the training ground for the “Deep Work” and endurance required in the AI Governance landscape, because how you show up for one thing is how you show up for everything.
